Dispute Resolution

In accordance with and in compliance with the provisions of Law no. 144/2015 of September 8, 2015, Quinta do Gato provides the necessary information for consumers to exercise their right to file a complaint with an official, independent, and impartial third-party entity, which will assist in resolving the dispute in question.

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) offers consumers the option to turn to official entities for assistance in resolving or navigating a conflict, before initiating formal litigation in the courts. Generally, the process can be described as follows:

1) The consumer requests that an impartial third party act as an intermediary between them and the supplier or service provider who is the subject of the complaint.

2) The intermediary may propose a solution to the complaint, impose a solution on both parties, or bring the parties together to reach a mutually agreeable solution.

Alternative Dispute Resolution may take the form of "mediation," "conciliation," or "arbitration."

As a rule, Alternative Dispute Resolution is less costly, less formal, and faster than pursuing legal action through the courts.

Therefore, in the event of a dispute, consumers may seek recourse through an Alternative Dispute Resolution entity for consumer matters. Quinta do Gato provides the websites for some of these entities:
